Lost Ark Gets A New Roadmap

The roadmap for what’s to come to Lost Ark has been leaked all over social media.

To say that Lost Ark is somewhat popular would be an understatement. Even with the slight delay at launch, over 5 million Lost ARK accounts were active during the release of the Western version of the MMO. Issues such as server congestions and long login queues ran amuck in Lost Ark, but despite this, its popularity is still booming. Smilegate’s RPG recently revealed content for the March 2022 update, but it appears that a roadmap has been leaked early on Reddit and Twitter.

Upcoming Content for PvP Seasons

The key details of the leak included the first PvP seasons and ranked play. Due to the huge popularity of Lost Ark’s PvP mode, it was expected that this feature would be added soon. The PvP season will offer rewards like materials used for upgrades, premium currencies that are usually only available to purchase for real money, and exclusive mounts and titles that can’t be bought anywhere else. Fans can expect the first PvP season of Lost Ark to drop this March alongside a few other additions to the endgame content.

New Classes Incoming

Looking deeper into the leaked roadmap, Smilegate RPG originally planned to release two out of eight unreleased classes. In the Western version of the MMO, not all the classes are available as of this article. For now, the classes which Smilegate may potentially release, in are the Arcanist and Destroyer.

The Arcanist is a Mage subclass whose entire kit is based on using cards to produce moves that damage and trap enemies. Since these cards have random effects, it’s a creative addition to the already beefy roster of main and subclasses in Lost Ark.

The Destroyer belongs to the Warrior subclass, and its main weapon of choice is the hammer. Despite being rather slow compared to the other classes, the Destroyer offers high damage numbers and is tanky.

The Arcanist is set to release in May, while the Destroyer will come around in April should everything be smooth sailing.

Content to Follow

Other details included in the leak included Lost ARK items, a new Legion raid, a new Guardian raid, never-before-seen story content, and Thronespire dungeon experience – designed for Single Player.

But just as everyone was spreading the news about what’s to come in Lost Ark, the community managers of the MMO have spoken that the leaked roadmap in question is still subject to change. Representatives of the company posted messages on the Lost Ark forums and Twitter.

Too Early, Too Soon

The route map for Lost Ark was quickly taken down – Amazon and Smilegate RPG removed all content referencing it, while most of the posts made by various publications covering the leak were also pulled. It seems that the devs will take another look at how they want to tackle the release of the other classes. Players can anticipate that the content plan is subject to change following the leak being deleted; there’s no certainty which of these features we’ve talked about will arrive in the next few months of 2022.

In the meantime, there’s still lots of fun to be had in Lost Ark right now, and for those that have yet to try it, it’s currently free to play on PC via Steam, so you can easily make a Lost ARK account.
