Woolworths supermarket urgently recalls Deep Coriander Chutney due to ‘undeclared allergen’


A popular condiment has been urgently recalled from Woolworths supermarkets in five states across Australia.

Parsram Foods Pty Ltd is recalling Deep Coriander Chutney due to a food safety risk.

The product has been on sale at Woolworths in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

It has also been available at various independent food retailers in NSW, Victoria, ACT, Queensland and South Australia.

The recalled product includes all use by dates up to and including 12.03.2023.

Food Standard Australia says the recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (sesame).

“Any consumers who have a sesame allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” it said.

“Consumers who have a sesame allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
