A Woolworths customer has demanded answers after making an alarming discovery in the steak aisle of his local store.
Sharing on social media, the shopper — who uses the handle @zclay7 — posted footage of the “mould” and debris on throughout the meat section at Woolworths Great Western in Brisbane.

The video shows a substantial build-up of old meat, dried liquid and dirt on the shelves – just centimetres from packs of meat priced at as much as $41.50 a kilo.
“Scotch fillet with a side of mould anyone?” the shopper said in his post.
“And this was 10am on a Sunday … turned me right off.”
The video prompted an outraged reaction, with many shocked by the state of the shelves.
“It doesn’t look like they’ve been cleaned or wiped down since the store opened. Yuck!” wrote one.
“That is completely messed up The condition that keep our food and even the pricing of it. something needs to get done about this.”
Added another: “Oh na, that’s grossssssss.”
A third wrote: “Yuck, we pay top dollar. For what, food poisoning?”
One more responded: “The meat they offer up is absolutely garbage. Woolworths you’re a disgrace.”
Another said: “OMG that’s absolutely disgusting.”
