Amid a cost-of-living crisis, Australians are earning up to $4000 a month in supplementary income through side hustles on online marketplaces such as Airtasker.
Among them is Frank Hoyt, 40, a panel-beater by trade, who travels around Australia fixing hail-damaged cars.
But as his day job slows he has turned to Airtasker, where he earns an extra $4000 a month painting and plastering homes or through other handy work.

Hoyt loves the flexibility, as he can take on jobs at home in Brisbane or while on the road for his day job.
Brittany Davidson, 27, also earns up to $4000 each month.
The single mum from Canberra, who’s juggling parenthood and caring for her grandmother, takes on tasks ranging from inspecting rental properties to mystery shopping, and even writing heartfelt eulogies.
The number of Australians taking on multiple jobs is on the rise, with 974,000 people or 6.7 per cent of employed people now reported by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) as multiple job-holders.
Women were more likely to have multiple jobs, with 7.3 per cent of employed women falling into this group compared with 6 per cent of employed men.
Workers aged 20 to 24 years old are the most likely to be working multiple jobs, with 7.3 per cent reported by the ABS.
People working in the community and personal services sectors are the most likely to have multiple jobs, with almost a tenth of workers — or 9.8 per cent — reported as having multiple jobs by the ABS.
On average, people work 30.8 hours in their primary role, followed by 8.9 hours in their secondary job per week.
This totals 39.7 hours per week, in comparison to those working a single job who average 35.1 hours per week.
