The mother of a toddler who went missing for several hours in Western Sydney in only her pyjamas said she was “relieved” to hear her daughter had been found safe and well.

The little girl, believed to be three, was found alone on Kenny Ave, St Marys about 8.30am on Tuesday.

She was dressed in pyjamas, had no shoes on, and was unable to communicate with police about where she had come from.

As the pair left the station to go home, the toddler’s mother told 7NEWS she was “relieved” to have her daughter home.

“She gave me a heart attack but she’s alright now, thank God,” she said.

The mother said her daughter was just out the front of their home when she went missing.

She thanked the neighbour who found her daughter for their quick-thinking actions.

“Thank God we had a decent resident ring the police,” she said.
