Australia’s football heroes have flocked to the wedding of their star teammate Emily van Egmond.
Van Egmond, 31, married her partner Kat Thompson in a sensational vineyard setting in the Hunter Valley with almost the entire Matildas team there to toast the brides.
The loved-couple radiated as they greeted their friends immediately after the gorgeous ceremony at the Krinklewood Estate in the famous New South Wales’ wine region.

Thompson wore a stunning white dress and Van Egmond wore a black dinner jacket and bow tie for the nuptials.
Sam Kerr was there to celebrate, as was her pregnant fiancee Kristie Mewis.
Kerr’s dad, Roger, also flew over from Perth to celebrate the occasion, but he (along with Sam) headed straight back home after the wedding to be with his mother who had been hit by a car on Friday while getting off a bus.
Other Matildas stars in attendance were Caitlin Foord, Mackenzie Arnold, Steph Catley, Hayley Raso, Alanna Kennedy, recently retired pair Clare Polkinghorne and Lydia Williams, and more.
International footballers were there, too, including Foord’s partner (and Ireland and Arsenal gun) Katie McCabe.
Kerr posted a tribute to “the Van Egmonds” on her Instagram page.
And fans rushed to comment and send their well wishes to the happy couple.
“Keep rising Queens 🥂 🥰” one user said.
Another said: “Miss you on the pitch cause you’re straight baller! And congrats!”
Others cheekily encouraged Kerr to tie the knot with Mews: “❤️❤️❤️Sam and Kristie’s next ? ❤️❤️❤️”.
Surrounded by the the Brokenback mountain range, the Krinklewood Estate (two and half hours from Sydney) is a breathtaking setting.
