Marvel Rivals down – Server status after NetEase takes game offline for Season 2 | Gaming | Entertainment

The news was announced by developer NetEase on X, alongside confirmation about how long the game will be offline.

“Maintenance will begin on April 11 at 2:00 AM PDT and is expected to take approximately 2–3 hours,” reads a NetEase tweet.

“During this time, the servers will be offline, and players will not be able to access the game. Server return times may vary based on progress.”

Fans can use the server downtime to download and install the new update, which will introduce the new content launching as part of Season 2.

Indeed, once the servers come back online, fans will be able to check out the new Season 2 content.

The new season introduces Emma Frost as a playable character, alongside a new Battle Pass containing a variety of different skins.

Emma Frost is a brand new Vanguard character joining the game on April 11. First appearing in the X-Men series, Emma Frost has the ability to transform her body into diamond, giving her greater attack power and defensive capabilities.

Frost’s Psionic Seduction Ultimate move will prevent opponents from using their Ultimates, all the while forcing them to move towards her.

Other new Season 2 features include the addition of a brand new Domination map, titled Hellfire Gala: Krakoa.
