Appearing together at the grand-opening for a new Planet Hollywood in New York earlier this month, the couple were discussing how they parent their seven children and their new reality series, The Baldwins.
When Extra asked if there was a second season in the works, Hilaria, 41, started to answer before she was interrupted by Alec.
“It’s gonna be great,” the Oscar-nominated actor, 66, blurted out enthusiastically. “You’re a winner.”
But Hilaria was unimpressed, snapping, “Oh, my God. When I’m talking, you’re not talking. No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking. This is why we’ll have to just cut him out of the show.”
Looking dejected, Alec removed himself from the interview and slunk into the background.
British TV host Piers Morgan shared the viral clip to his X account, writing, “Imagine being married to that … (applies to both of them).”

Elsewhere in their red carpet chat, the former yoga instructor admonished Alec for “distracting” her when he tried to ask her the Spanish word for routine as she discussed how she parents their children.
“Now you’re just doing that. Like, why? Why are you distracting me?” Hilaria asked exasperatedly, before threatening to abandon him on the red carpet. “I’m going to, like, walk out of this interview right now.”
When he lightheartedly tried to say he was captivated by her beauty, Hilaria swiped, “Oh, my God, stop. You’re annoying me. Stop. It’s not cute. No, it’s distracting me.”
On TikTok, where the video racked up more than 141,000 views, watchers criticized the exchange, with one person asking, “Does she know that she’s not a celebrity?” while another declared, “She acts like a teenager talking to her dad.”

But the couple patched things up in video shared to Hilaria’s Instagram account this week as they each lip-synced the other’s audio from the awkward interview.

At the end, Hilaria asked Alec, “That is called, what’s the word of the day?”
“Manterrupting,” Alec replied.
“Manterrupting,” she confirmed. “Which could be a positive, it could be a negative, or it could be a…”
“A correctile dysfunction,” Alec joked.
“Yes, correctile dysfunction,” she replied. “Now that we cleared all of that up, give me a kiss.”
In a follow-up post, Hilaria joked that she was getting messages from women saying that they’ll treat Alec better than she does.
“Do you want to make a change just so you can talk more?” she asked.
“Get me her email,” Alec replied.

But although the two were seemingly unbothered by the critical commentary surrounding their interview with Extra, Alec’s fans weren’t so quick to forgive Hilaria for chastising her husband publicly.
“The word of the day is ‘rude’ You were rude to your husband,” one person commented on her post, with another adding, “I’m sorry, but you made him look like a child on national TV.”
“Very sad watching an old guy being run over by a younger woman,” a third person bemoaned.
