Chrysler Halcyon Concept Offers Glimpse At The Brand’s Future, Whatever That Is
Chrysler is in a difficult situation. The loss of the 300 has left the company with only one vehicle in its lineup, the Pacifica minivan. Although we have been promised that new product is on the way, we do not know what that is or when it will arrive. In an effort to offer a glimpse of what the future of Chrysler might look like, the brand has introduced a new concept called the Halcyon, which demonstrates the design and technology of an electric vehicle from this American automaker.
The design of the Halcyon is modern and futuristic, as is typical of concepts in the 2020s. Chrysler describes the Halcyon as sculptural, with a design that resembles a coupe despite being a four-door vehicle with rear-hinged suicide doors. The car has a very low profile, with Chrysler claiming it is just four inches off the ground. The front fascia includes a functional air blade that Chrysler says improves aerodynamics and range. It is also equipped with a thin LED light strip and an illuminated Chrysler logo. The front windshield is steeply-raked and extends deeply into the front of the car.
