Australians receiving Centrelink payments are being reminded to check if their reporting days and payment periods will be affected by the Easter holidays.
Services Australia centres and most call centres will be closed for the Easter and Anzac holidays on April 18, 21, and 25.
“This means your reporting and payment dates may change and you’ll need to report early,” Services Australia said on its website.

While income can still be reported when the centres are closed, payments may only be received after the public holiday.
If a recipient doesn’t need to report, their payment might come early.
“We won’t delay payments because of a public holiday, but we may pay you earlier than normal,” Services Australia said.
“You’ll need to budget so this payment lasts until your next payment day.”
The following allowances will have altered reporting and payment dates:
- Austudy
- Farm Household Allowance
- JobSeeker Payment
- Special Benefit
- Status Resolution Support Services Payment
- Youth Allowance
Pension payment dates have also been adjusted for a range of payments, including:
- a families payment
- ABSTUDY
- Age Pension
- Assistance for Isolated Children
- Carer Allowance
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension
- Double Orphan Pension
- Parenting Payment
- Pensioner Education Supplement
Recipients are urged to check their online Centrelink accounts to find the new reporting dates for the Easter and Anzac reporting period.
Two tables detailing the changes to reporting and payment dates can also be found on the Services Australia website.
