As summer approaches, many of us dream of lounging on a sun-soaked beach with a refreshing cocktail. We believe we’ve discovered the ideal outfit for your forthcoming holiday at Marks & Spencer.
The British high-street retailer has again delivered a perfect addition to your wardrobe. However, this co-ord set isn’t technically designed for outdoor wear, but it’s so stylish that we think you could pull it off.
The Pure Cotton Embroidered Shortie Set is sleepwear but the charming white embroidery and the fashionable design make it a great fit for wearing outdoors as well. It retails for £40 and includes both the top and shorts.
Featuring a lovely ribbon front style and broderie anglaise pattern on the crisp white fabric, the top is comfortable to wear when the mercury rises at night. But it can also be worn as a casual outfit with shorts or a denim skirt.
Shoppers can also turn the two-piece into a festival outfit – by wearing the top over a cami or bralette
On the M&S website they stated: “Crafted from soft and airy pure cotton voile, this shortie set is a breath of fresh air for warm nights. Made to a comfy regular fit. The short-sleeved top features pretty tie detailing, while the shorts have a comfy elasticated waist. Embroidery brings an elegant finishing touch.”
M&S offers an impressively inclusive size range, with the set available in sizes 6 to 22. It features a tie-down front similar to the viral Ganni tops that are currently trending on social media. They are £165 apiece but they have puffy balloon sleeves to make it more glamorous.
If you’re seeking something more colourful for the summer season, don’t worry. They also offer a similar pyjama co-ord in a lovely dusty blue gingham shade.
Instead of a T-shirt style top, it features a button-down cami and shorts for £25. The Pure Cotton Broderie Shortie Set is available in an inclusive size range from 6 to 22.
One shopper said: “Great for the holidays, good fit, very comfortable and I would purchase again.” Another particularly loved the top, adding: “Cotton is lovely would have preferred to pay more for longer length than shorts but love the quality.”
