The disastrous interview with NewsNight host Abby Phillip quickly went sideways after he was asked about the disturbing video showing Sean “Diddy” Combs beating on then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Cam’ron, whose real name is Cameron Giles, was asked if he recognized Combs in the 2016 surveillance footage that shows Diddy assaulting Ventura.
“Everything in the video is egregious, I’m against,” the rapper said to Phillip. “So when I saw the video, I was kinda upset being that I know him.”
Phillip persisted with her line of questioning, to which a clearly frustrated Cam’ron clarified that he does not consider Combs a friend.
“I don’t know him like that. What do you mean, ‘Did I recognize him?’ I seen him,” he said.
“What do you mean, ‘My experiences?,’” he asked the host. “I seen him and I thought it was disgusting, I didn’t do a zoom in to see if it was really him or nothing, but he admitted it was him, so yeah, it was him.”

The horrific video that was released last week shows Combs throwing Ventura to the floor in a hotel before kicking her twice, dragging her down a hallway and throwing objects at her.
The trainwreck of an interview continued as Phillip asked Cam’ron about his thoughts on Diddy’s apology video, in which he did not apologize directly to Ventura because their NDA prevents him from publicly stating her name, TMZ previously reported.
“The apology ain’t for me, it’s for Cassie,” Cam’ron replied. “He ain’t do nothing for me. What I think about it don’t matter. You need to ask Cassie if she accepts the apology. I said what I said.”

The awkward interview eventually came to a standstill when the rapper took a shot of his sexual intimacy supplement, PinkHorsePower, before plugging the product by claiming he was going to get “some cheeks” after drinking it.

Cam’ron then promoted his podcast, before Phillip tried to steer the subject back to Diddy, and whether the hip-hop industry would protect the producer.
That’s when Cam’ron looked at someone off-screen and asked, “Who’s the talent agent for this joint? You think I be sitting around watching what Diddy do? I didn’t know this was a Diddy joint that y’all invited me to. Who booked me for this joint?”
The rapper’s shared his frustrations on Instagram posting a clip of the video with the caption, “F*** they invite me on CNN for?”
