When Pikria Darchia’s son last spoke to her, she was enjoying a coffee at Westfield Bondi Junction.
Some 15 minutes later she and five others were killed in a horrific stabbing attack at the shopping centre on April 13.

The 55-year-old artist had been speaking to her son Irakli Dvali who was overseas in Georgia in eastern Europe at the time.
“We talked for about half an hour, it was a really nice talk we had,” he told 7NEWS.
“I don’t know, maybe in my head we were connecting, and it was like saying goodbye.”
However, when Dvali later heard the news about the attack, he said he had the awful task of waiting for answers.
“You just sit and wait for the phone call,” he said.
“It was very tough, not knowing.
“It was the worst … that’s something I don’t want anyone to ever experience.”
Dvali said his mother enjoyed living in Australia, adding she felt “safe, calm and happy” in Sydney.
“I knew she was safe because it’s a safe country,” he said.
“I thought she was in a safe place, but unfortunately I don’t know what to tell you anymore.
“Nothing in the world can shock me anymore.”
Dvali went on to describe Pikria as an “extraordinary” person.
“She was very kind, she was very calm, she was a very happy person,” he said.
“On the other hand, she was the toughest person I know.
“I want everyone to know what an extraordinary person she was.
“Everyone loved her.”
A new mother, a student and the daughter of multimillionaire entrepreneur John Singleton, were among the others killed when 40-year-old Joel Cauchi went on the stabbing rampage.
Five of the victims were women — Pikria Darchia, 55, Ashlee Good, 38; Dawn Singleton, 25; Jade Young, 47; and student Yixuan Cheng, 27.
At least 12 others, including Good’s nine-month-old baby girl, were hospitalised with serious injuries.
Security guard Faraz Tahir, 30, was also murdered in the attack.
The 30-year-old refugee was on his first day shift as a security guard at the complex when Queensland man Cauchi began attacking people.
Family and other mourners gathered on Friday at a Marsden Park mosque to honour Tahir.
